Ear, nose, throat doctor needed!

Need recommendation for a ENT doctor near the villages. My husband is suffering from vertigo. Thank you

My wife and I both went to Lake ENT, different docs, both had a really poor experience.

I then went to Dr. Don Burgos in Tavares and while he's getting old, he did a really great job on my sinuses - problems all my life and he fixed 'em up. He knows his stuff.

I had benign positional vertigo (the room spins when you stand up), and I went to a Physical Therapist when I lived in another state.

There are home treatments (specific procedures) to cure benign positional vertigo.
Just do a search on youtube.

These procedures are very simple.

Ditto against Lake ENT. They were having a plastic surgeon do nasal surgery on my husband who had been having a high recurring fever. Thank God I wouldn’t let them and we went to Mayo Clinic. The specialist there said if they had done a procedure on him at that time it would have been very dangerous.

I was also disappointed with Lake ENT. I went to Ocala ENT and found the treatment there better.

There was a thread recently on the Nextdoor website that raved about a medical professional.

====================

Dr. Gegaj had recommended Aneesh Mampachail, the Clinical Director of Lake Centre for Rehabilation. I have no phone number; but sure you can google either doctor here in The Villages. One patient raved about her success with Aneesh.

I use Lake ENT & FPS across from the hospital and LOVE them.

Vertigo

I had vertigo and went to ENT in DeLand, where I now live. They were amazing. It has been one year and no vertigo after the treatment the nurse practitioner did on me. Hour and a half ride for you will be worth it.

ENT Doctor

I contacted Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL for an appointment and they told me to see Dr. Atkins in Celebration FL. I ask why so far to see an ENT and they said he is the only one we recommend to see as he has all the equipment and you must see him before we will give you an appointment here. Let me tell you he really puts you through the testing. I highly recommend Dr. Atkins. I have had BPV for years. After all day testing Dr. Atkins diagnosed me with a virus in my inner ear. Hope this helps.

His number is 321-939-3000

Vertigo

You may need the Eply maneuver. Ear crystals out of place. Really works. Dr Waldo at Village’s health is very good and did mine. Physical therapist trained in it can also do it. Simple procedure

Exercise for Vertigo

I suffer from vertigo once or twice a year. I went to an ENT in Michigan and he demonstrated exercises that address the vertigo then referred me to YouTube which has the same exercises. The exercises work reasonably well; it normally takes a couple of days for the vertigo to right itself. I suggest you search YouTube for the exercises and try them — it might save you a doctors’s visit

I went to urgent care they gave me a prescription but did not help much, it goes away on its own after a week or two.
It is a common complaint.
