Mayo Clinic

Some background on Mayo and leading stage of the art treatments for a Stage 3 cancer which has been closely watched over last 3 years. Some current indications of a new small lesion so started experimental treatment with a drug on the Ovarian cancer which appears to be successful on breast cancer. Mayo save's tissues from surgery for 10 years. So next is farming some tissues from surgery in 2017 to establish a specific profile of the Ovarian cancer to establish a specific tailored treatment for current cancer tissue. This is the kind of treatment and care you can expect from Mayo when you are their patient. It is the best 2 1/2
hours you will ever spend. :ho:

I can also personally attest to the fact that The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is the Crown Jewel of medical care.

I agree. DH broke his collarbone in a bicycle accident. It did not heal well. He had surgery in St. Paul, MN ~ when he came out his arm was paralyzed.

He did some research, and found an orthopedic neurologist at Mayo in Rochester. The man was great. He had a flock of Dr. Ducklings following him everywhere.

If we paused in the hallways, someone always asked if we needed help ~ everyone from janitors to doctors.

DH had another surgery, and after some rehab, his arm is 98% recovered. We would not hesitate to return for a serious illness.

Do they take most insurance? Do you need referral?

Depends on your insurance. There might be excess charges if you are on Medicare with a Supplemental Plan. If you are on a Medicare Advantage Plan, probably not. Call them and ask.
