Congratulations to Dustin Johnson
DJ lived up to his number one world ranking with a very solid and decisive win at the Masters. The tournament itself did not have the usual electricity of the typical April event with a big gallery of fans, but a major win is a major win.

He sure did. What a performance by Dustin. Not unlike Tiger a few years ago when he was the winner at, I believer, 18 under.

Congratulations.
Dustin is a bit perplexing. With all that talent and athletic ability one would think that he would have won more majors, especially seeing that he's been in position so many times. It seems to be a matter extremes with him. He either destroys the course and the competition as he did yesterday and in Boston in September or he falls apart in the last round. I hope that this win opens the floodgates and he wins a ton of majors. |

I like underdogs in regular tournaments, but find myself pulling for guys who have paid their dues in the majors. Well-deserved win by DJ.

It's hard to understand how a guy can be win 26 tournaments and be in position four or five different times in majors and fail to close. I have all the respect in the world for him as a player and as a person but that doesn't mean that he's perfect. As I said he seems to either destroy the field and the gold course as he did yesterday and in Boston or blows a big lead on the final day in a major as he has done several times. A the US Open at Pebble Beach in 2010 he had a three stroke lead after 54 holes and shot 82 on Sunday. He was tied for the lead after 54 holes at Chambers bay in 2015 and bogeyed three of the final four holes. 2018 at Shinnecock he was tied for the lead after 54 and three putted four times in the last nine holes There are a few more. Then he looked great winning the US Open and was incredible winning the Masters. |
His previous record in the majors, when either being the leader or co-leader after three rounds, is about as bad as it gets. Great to see him exorcise those demons this time and I hope he now wins a bunch more. I would even settle for being his caddy brother. lol

A great performance. It's sot of like he toyed with everyone for the first 9, then he turned it on.
