Does the battery fill system that puts water in the battery automatically really work?

My system fills all the batteries at once .. But of course you have to hook it up to distilled water!

Works well and worth having. Both of my carts have had the system.

The only problem I've found is that some of the systems will add too much water, so it's worth checking after filling. I'm not sure which system is the problem, but the one I've seen that overfills has the tube going into the distilled water with a bulb to squeeze to add to the batteries. Even so, any of the automatic systems really do make things much more convenient.

With the one Redwitch describes the risk of overfilling is minimized if you don't squeeze the ball hard. As soon as you feel resistance, stop. My first cart had the fill system and they extended the warranty on the batteries because of it. When I got rid of the cart after a few years, the batteries were still in great shape. I think if the fill systems were a problem, they wouldn't extend the battery warranty.

I only have experience with the model that you place end of tube in a gallon of distilled water and then squeeze a bulb until batteries are full. It is the Trojan Hydrolink, installed on one of my carts and it works very well. I would normally not use a fill system (IMO expensive for what they do), but I modified my Club Car to take 2 additional batteries (8 total). The two new batteries would be very difficult to water as the body of the cart is in the way.

The one I got with my Tomberlin Golf Cart is a gravity fill system. Connect the two lines and when the wheel stops spinning, it's full. Very easy to use. I wouldn't have gone with an electric cart without it.

We bought an EZGo RXV from Town and Country in SS. They wouldn't sell me an auto-fill system, claiming that too frequently a tube will crimp and go unnoticed with that battery not getting any water. I've been checking my batteries monthly and find that they use very little water. Filling the batteries manually is not as difficult or time consuming as you'd think.

Each of my batteries has a cap with 2 white floats that rise and lower with the water level. Just look at the batteries, and if the floats start showing down, then time to fill.

I don't know about any other systems, but this one sure is a piece of cake.

I too have the gravity feed version for my Tomberlin. It sits on a shoulder high shelf were I plug my charger in. Just flip the seat up and connect the hose with a snap lock connector. When the little wheel stops spinning in about 10 seconds, just disconnect the hose and you’re done. I refill the tank with a gallon of distilled water every three months or so.

Have it. Love it. The best way to go. Just fill jug. Put on roof of cart. Plug hose in. Remove when wheel stops spinning.

I too love the gravity fill system. I can't imagine doing each separately. I do have question about how often you fill your batteries?

I bought one from US Batteries direct and saved over 100.00, I love it.

Bought mine from JWP Systems and it works great....gn

The right system will work but the older systems have a big problem. you need to see and I mean see the float being lifted and filled to properly know that it is filled.
Without that you really do not know.
