CDC Shielding Approach and Covid 19

The CDC published a "shielding approach to prevent COVID-19 Infections in humanitarian settings" in 2019, updating it in July 2020. In short, the "shielding approach" is a separation of Covid high risk individuals from low risk individuals. Here is a link to the document, note that it is not a short read.

Keep in mind the low mortality rate of Covid-we are not talking about something as virulent as Ebola or other hemorrhagic viruses/fevers which might warrant the full shielding approach.

Although the document is pointed towards "humanitarian settings" (think 3rd world, refugee camps, etc), the beginning framework has already been used in some areas of the US. Examples include suggested isolation in the home, keeping visitors out of nursing homes, cancellation of community celebrations (religious holidays), and bereavement (funerals). Given all of the lockdown talk and fears of case spikes, more levels of this "shielding approach" could be implemented in the US. Remember that forced relocation in the US has happened in the past, so don't be too quick to dismiss the document. After all, the document has been updated, not retracted.

Fortunately, I think the vaccines recently created under Operation WarpSpeed will obviate “shielding” on a large scale.

I think it may be too late - states like Rhode Island have run out of hospital capacity and they're now moving people to field "overflow" facilities. Rhode Island'''s Hospital Reach Coronavirus Capacity | Patch

If only we had taken this thing seriously from the beginning :( Far too many people think it's all a hoax.

So, what does your Dr say? Did you query him/her on what kind of training they had on infectious diseases and pandemics?

You are correct. In the beginning everyone seemed to think it was just a Chinese problem which sometimes happened in the past
. But like Pearl Harbor, the 911 terrorist attack and this virus the early warning signs were missed.

With the hospital crunch it’s time to get the army core of engineers back in the picture.

Rhode Island is not currently moving people to field "overflow" facilities. Read the article you posted and you will find that the state's two field hospitals could accept patients as soon as next week.

Small detail but significant to some.

Stop watching the news and reading articles with slanted agendas. Here are the CDC’s ICU bed availability nationwide. Updated yesterday. Virtually every one is operating in the normal capacity range. https://healthdata.gov/dataset/covid-19-estimated-patient-impact-and-hospital-capacity-state/resource/82e733c6-7baa-4c65#{view-graph:{graphOptions:{hooks:{processOffset:{},bindE vents:{}}}},currentView:!grid,graphOptions:{hooks: {processOffset:{},bindEvents:{}}}}

Yes. Do you think doctors actually receive training in this stuff? Do you think doctors have time to do the required reading and research to get up to speed? Your doctor is not an expert on pandemics and infectious diseases.

Lindsyburnsy 11-26-2020 08:39 AM

Listen to your doctor, but do your own investigation. When we had a CDC that was not being manipulated, we could believe them. Now, no one knows what to believe. Sad. Hopefully, things will change for the better.

This is only the beginning, and the Globalist dream for the United States and the rest of the free world. So many have blindly accepted domination via the Covid scare. It's like cooking the frog...put the frog in a pot of cold water and he is unaware of the increased heat until it's too late, the water is boiling and he is cooked.

Watch ALL of the TV stations, not just one or two and get the full story and then make your decision on what to do

Nonsense. The Trump administration took decisive and quick action once the virus became known.

I disagree that a lot of people believe that it is a hoax. There are some but they are few and far between.
