Medigap policies
I am 65 and am enrolling in medicare part B and looking at medigap policies as a supplement to part B. My question concerns the plan to pick. It looks like most plan F's that are offered are the most complete. Other plans are less money but don't cover doctors charges above the "normal or customary". Is this really something to consider? I guess my question is whether doctors charges routinely go over the approved medicare amount and the extra out of pocket has become an issue.
Please forgive the spelling and the rambling. I haven't figured out how to use spellcheck. |
My husband and I both have Plan C through AARP. We pay 311 per month for the both of us. We've been quite pleased. Decide which plan you want and get at least 3-4 estimates. (We're both 69)

Medigap with Prescription
AARP (United healthcare) has some nice Medigap plans. Be sure to get a Presription plan. If you do not get one, when you are 65 and decide you need it later, you pay a higher premium the rest of your life! Some medigaps policies have prescription in them.
