Investment Club meetings 1st week of Sept?

We're coming to TV this Sat. for a one-week stay. Does anybody know if there are any investment clubs meeting at the Rec. Centers the first week of September?

We attended an IBD meeting the last time there, and we really enjoyed it.

We intend to be active participants in one or more TV investment clubs when we move there.

Gene and Kathy,

FYI, there is a new investment education club that just started up in July. Unfortunately, they meet this Thursday so you will just miss it by a couple of days. The club is just getting organized (election of officers, writing by-laws, etc).

The club is still planning meeting agendas but will be just for investment education purposes so it's not actually an investment club. Not sure if this is something you might be interested in when you move here but thought I would mention it.

Investment Club meetings 1st week of Sept.

I'm 100% for investment education training. A few years, I co-founded the Vector Vest Users Group in my area. We don't pool our money together; rather, we simply meet once a month to go over Vector Vest investment software (how to use it more productively) and share our stories.

I was surprised to learn there is no Vector Vest group at TV. Is there an AAII (American Assn. of Individual Investors) group there?

When Kathy and I were at TV last year, we attended an IBD group meeting, of which there were about 20 in attendance. One common goal: Learn more, so you can earn more (and stay happily ever after at TV).

That said, I still hope someone responds to this msg. to let us know if there are any investment club meetings at TV next week, when we're there.

<g> Of course, we don't want that to interfere with our hoped-for golf and pickleball play there, and whatever else to enjoy Paradise. We're looking for golfing partners. We're "fair" golfers.

Some day soon we'll be buying 'one-way' tickets to TV. We talk about it all the time! Gracie & Henry get us so excited!

Niels,

Do you happen to know the name of the club and/or contact information? It sounds like something that I'd be interested in.

The name of the club is the Investment Education Club. It meets the second and fourth Thursday at Seabreeze from 3:30pm to 5pm. Often you won't see it listed in the Recreation News. The next meeting will be on 1/27/11.

FYI, The next meeting of the Villages Investment Eduction Club is January 27th at 3:30 PM, Daytona Beach Room at Seabreeze. The speaker will be Mr. Joe Leonard who will talk about the place of annuities in a retirement portfolio.
