Palo Alto II? Which energy provider?

My wife and I currently own in El Cortez. We bought a different home in, what I believe is Palo Alto II? It's off of Oviedo near the Tierra Del Sol rec center.

We currently have Duke Energy and Xfinity for internet where we are now. Xfinity lists that address on Oviedo so that's covered.

Is that area a SECO or Duke area? My sister lives sorta near us and shes on SECO. We don't close for a few weeks yet and our Agent was going to ask, but somehow no one is sure. heh. I'm just curious if anyone knows for sure.

I'm also not real sure I've got the right village name, I think, shrug. I don't know anyone who lives over there.

Thanks

Can't get more specific than that lol. You bought a house and you don't know where you bought it ?

You somehow thought that I provided a road name and then jumped to the conclusion that I didn't know where the road is? How did you go about coming to that conclusion?

The various villages boundries aren't drawn in squares. The realty site says Palo Alto but I look online and I can't find a good map of all the villages and the one I find shows it as Palo Alto II, which is a Nextdoor thing and has nothing to do with the villages except that they usually get it close. That part of it was just an aside anyway.

I'm curious as to which energy provider people in that area use because I'm not down there right now and won't be for a few weeks and I want to get the service set up.

When we bought our current home, the power was on when we went through the house 2 hours before close and the power was off when we got back from close. It was July and it took 2 days before I got the power back on. I'd like to avoid that this time.

It appears to be in SECO territory. Go to secoenergy.com and there's a service territory map. Or call SECO. Or call Duke.

When you close on home , that information should be available to you , also your realtor should know or you can just ring your neighbors door . I can’t see the big problem here

We are not in Palo Alto, but are close to that area. SECO is our electricity provider.

I never said it was a big problem. I was hoping someone who lived there might just know the answer. Duke disconnected the power while we were at close last time and I thought we had SECO. I called SECO and I got stuck in a phone tree only to wind up with the wrong person. 30 minutes later I found out that they weren't my provider. So I called Duke and it was 2 days later before they got the power back on. It was July, 100 degrees out too.

I thought someone might just know this time so I can avoid that entire mess.
