WW II Vets Stories in The Villages Daily Sun - Where's The Vet Post In The Villages?

The Villages Daily Sun should be commended for the great stories and photos of our WWII Vets in recent publications. They were truly a great generation! It makes me also think of all those Vets living in The Villages from our other conflicts, where the blood was just as red. All great defenders of our nation. I have to ask then after the brick laying ceremony where could the Vets and family go afterword for a soda or beer within cart or walking distance, without a car to drive to a local
VFW, Legion or AMVet post. Why in the Villages who tout their huge amount of veterans living here have they not provided a post space rent free so they could survive. I can think of many areas sitting hardly used or empty, such as the old Silver Lake Club, or down town Spanish Springs. Why must a vet get in a car or truck to get to a Veterans Club in The Villages?
A huge honor is waiting for the contractor and Morse family.

We have the largest American Legion Post in the entire United States at the corner of 466 and Rolling Acres Road. Just outside The Villages. We also have an amazing Rec Center dedicated to Veterans.
