The Girl Scout Alumnae’s Pajama and Book drive ended this week with wonderful totals of over 6500 pajamas and more than 3300 books! These will go to some of the 6000 homeless children in the Lake, Marion and Sumter counties. The success of this drive came from all the people who took the time to write a check, purchase one of these items either on line or in person and take them to one of the twelve Regional Recreation Centers where the familiar red boxes were allowed.

Children will enjoy these special gifts with the help of The Marion County Public Schools ,who distribute these through their Homeless and Needy Program and many organizations, including The Haven, Kid Central Kinship Program and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, located in Sumter and Lake counties.

The Girl Scout Alumnae Silver Trefoil group really appreciate your support and we look forward to our 2021 drive!
