Anyone been down in LSL tonight?

Just watching the web cam from downtown and there seems to be a flashing light of some kind in the lower part of the scene. Light appears to be blue. Just curious.

Here you go...and you can switch from the Landing to Spanish Springs.

Do you still see the light Pooh? I am looking and don't see anything like you described.

No, it's gone. I watched it for about 5 minutes. Not sure how long it was on. Could have been anything or nothing at all. The light seemed to be coming from the street or across the street from that portion of the square that shows in the camera. I'm just curious is all.

I was curious to see something. Like a modern version of the movie "Rear Window."

Pooh, I think it was a police car, I noticed something as I was going to RJ Gator's last night to dance. They had the blue flashing light and had pulled over a bunch of kids, it would have shown up in the lower left hand part of the screen on the web cam... Do you think that was it???

I have noticed that there are police patroling LSL nightly! Riding in police cars and walking the beat. I think I read something in the Daily Sun about this.

It most likely was that, Kathie. Thanks. I generally check the web cam at night, especially since the square isn't far from my house and I've never seen that sort of thing before. Hope the kids weren't causing any trouble.

Interesting. Hadn't seen that in print, but some days I don't read the paper at all. In Lake Sumter, it should be a Sheriff's patrol car. In Spanish Springs it will be a Lady Lake police officer...wait, I did read something about that and it was for Spanish Springs. The article highlighted the officers who were going to have Spanish Springs as their beat.

Since we frequent the squares many nights very late, I do see a lot of police presence but this has always been in SS, not as much in LSL. The crowd at Marguaritaville, I think, can get very rowdy after hours so there is always police cars around there hovering for drunk drivers and the like. I'm actually glad to see them, actually, makes me feel safer when we go to our cars. I have not seen them walking a beat so much, though, but they could be doing that too. I like that also. The more the better....
