Hang a porch swing
 

I’m looking for an experienced person to hang a swing on our front porch. We are not sure if studs are located above the porch. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

OP, you can get a stud finder at any of the local hardware stores. I then use a probe, typically a 1/16 inch drill bit to get the exact location of the stud, and drill the hole for the hook eye at that location. You need to follow the manufacturers directions so the swing does not fall down. Hope this helps.

Will they need ARC approval to add this to the exterior of their home? Never hurts to ask, I'd call Community Standards before drilling any holes.
