I think the lesson to be learned today is that we need to do whatever we can to remind ourselves of what we share in common vs the minor differences we may have. Freedom and opportunity - we all believe in that.

What that mob did today is so unamerican. Domestic terrorism should not be tolerated. Hopefully we can strive to do better.

Do you also feel that way about ANTIFA and BLM?

Today we saw SEDITIONISTS in action

"Sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organisation, that tends toward rebellion against the established order. ... Seditious words in writing are seditious libel. A seditionist is one who engages in or promotes the interest of sedition."

I wouldn't call it terrorism. In my opinion, what I saw today was mild compared to the riots, property damage, and looting that occurred last year in many parts of the country.

Tell all of the business owners whose businesses were looted and destroyed that it's okay because the people who did it were just protesting.

Ever wonder why the penalty for violence while rioting is "The federal crime of rioting is punishable by fines, imprisonment for up to five years, or both."

While for sedition and activity is "Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.

Our democracy is fragile, and defending it is something many have done, but all I thought of today when watching that banner stretched across the halls of congress, proclaiming fidelity to one man, was our chagrin when Khomeini staged his coup in Iran and the banners with his face plastered the walls in Tehran

This is pretty much my take.

Those bent on a destructive involvement could be from ANY organization, carrying a Trump flag/sign/etc.... creating damage and a threatening environment...

...CHAOS IN THE CAPITAL..." but no chaos reported in Portland, Seattle, LA, et al.

Amplified by a media in total orgasm!.....

Anybody else wonder how a mob of that size could be gathering and organizing and not even an oh-oh or blowing the whistle till they are on the steps!
