And how will this information do anything to relieve the stress folks are feeling?

My thought was that by seeing a daily increase in the number of vaccine doses available and the number of actual vaccinations occurring in Florida, around the US, and all over the world a reader might feel that we are moving in a positive direction. On the other hand, you might be under the delusion that we can vaccinate 21+ million Floridians in a single day. I assure you that we cannot. But seeing several hundred thousand of my fellow Floridians already vaccinated against Covid-19 gives me a feeling of relief and certainly begins to relieve my stress.

I wonder why only half of shots received have been administered.

Maybe they save other half for the second shots after 3-4 weeks.
Just a guess.

I thought the vaccine had to be used in a short period of time. And "just in time" delivery systems were therefore needed.

This news from Moderna regarding shelf life and stability once it is thawed......

Moderna Announces Longer Shelf Life for its COVID-19 Vaccine Candidate at Refrigerated Temperatures | Moderna, Inc.

Man, what we don't know.

billethkid 01-18-2021 08:02 AM

The article is a mere sample of what is known about the status of vaccine availability.

Adding to the mystery how a major vaccine launch could be approved, set up, staffed and begin operations.......then shutting down after one week!!

If we knew a little more of what we don't know about why...it would be either enlightening or .............frightening !!!
