Turned away for vaccine
 

I had an appointment today to receive the vaccine through Safe Sumter and when I arrived I was told by a police officer that they ran out of vaccine. I then asked what I should do and the officer indicated that they will email me. I don’t understand how they run out if I had a scheduled appointment. Frustrating!

My guess is that they anticipated receiving supplies and they did not arrive. I can see if you have the personnel to give the shots booking a few days in advance on the assumption that you will get your scheduled supplies. Better than holding the meds for a few days and giving no shots while you set up a new schedule. Remember the manufacture's are trying to supply the world so problems will come up.
