The Villages Construction Update 2-16-2021
 

Here’s a new look at what’s been happening in the new areas of The Villages. The winds and rain have made the weather pretty poor for flying but I managed to get some in and take a look around. In this video I look at the new Starbucks, the Water Lily bridge, north of DeLuna, the villages of Newell and Lake Denham, Sawgrass Grove, Southern Oaks golf course, and St Catherine.

Don- do you know where, or if, The Developer is planning for an additional executive golf course? All the new courses slated to open appear to be Championship, Pitch and Putt, or Putt and Play.

From the information I've see, a new one appears to be planned along the turnpike just south of Monarch Grove. Information is very scarce; they are very good at keeping their plans quiet.

Don- the area along the turnpike/south of Monarch Grove is labeled as “Pitch & Putt and Putting Course” in the new Continuing the Dream insert we received with our newspaper a few days ago.

Crazy seeing how much upfront work goes into setting up a village. The amount of dirt they move around is impressive. Enjoyed seeing how the ponds are constructed too.

In the family's latest video Mark Morse said connectivity would be completed early first quarter of 2021. Loo,s like what he really meant to say was early 2nd quarter.

One has to dig much deeper than the Sunday paper to find all the clues to what is happening here in The Villages. I've marked the video where I talk about the executive course in this link.

good video. We drove through the St Catherine area last Friday. I was surprised at the scale of area already developed and the number of TV agents there selling homes. It will be beautiful ten years from now.
