I have the DVD, and as a bonus American Graffiti 2 is on the other side. I know now why I never heard of AG2, if the first one was rated a 10, the second was rated a 1. It was horrible. The guys all went to war in Nam and came back and the music was all psychedelic soundtrack even though it was 1980 when the film came out and Hendrix and rest were already gone.

The first film I agree was great, saw it in the theater about '73. It was a George Lucas film before he was famous. A low budget film that he shot in a small California town and filmed most of the scenes after midnight when the town was dead with activity.

I only went to Annapolis Mall one time in my life. It was 1995 and we were walking through the mall and I stopped at a book store and saw this book in the window with a big display, it must of just come out. It caught my attention because of the movie and I was fan of Midnight Special. That night when I got home, I flipped on the news and heard that Wolfman Jack had died that day.

Sumter Landing always reminds American Graffiti.

I have most of those songs on my 1951 seeberg jukebox. Wanted to put a picture, but don’t know how.

Growing up in Southern California in the 1960's, I wore out more than one transistor radio listening to the Wolfman, as well as Vin Scully calling the Dodgers games. The film and the soundtrack from American Graffiti always brings back fond memories.

I went to JC with George Lucas in Modesto Ca. I didn't know him but I do know about what he wrote and filmed: Which were 10th and 11th streets in Modesto. The big race was on Crow's landing RD. Just outside of town. I saw and participated in many drag races out there. Coincidently, I dated one of the girls in the film who later became an actress. And my Ex. still lives there. The film was very accurate of the time and place. Before the Vietnam war and the drug culture. But, all good things come to an end....

Not a secure sight. However, great music on it.

My all time favorite movie. I searched for it on Netflix or Amazon and they wanted me to pay $5.99 to watch. Went on Ebay and found a used DVD for the same price (free shipping) and now I have the DVD.

One of my two favorite movies! Hollywood knights was the other.

That movie helped revitalize the car cruising culture again in the 70`s and revitalized oldies music to a new generation, our "circuit" was Francis Lewis Blvd, in Queens,NY.
I drove that loop for many years of my youth in a 41 Chevy Coupe pearl white with flames and a red satin coffin interior, our Mels was a MacDonalds and that lot would be full of muscle cars and hotrods.
The addiction never left me and in my barn up north in PA well snowed in right now is a 67 Chevelle, a 69 Chevelle and a 48 Dodge Coupe.I consider them time machines to chase after "Peter Pan" with.
There was a movie soundtrack album that had all the songs and wolfman talking between the songs right from the movie. I had it on 8 track and people next to you at traffic lights would give funny looks hearing the wolfman talking thru their windows.
