Wear mask after vaccination
Please wear a mask and continue precautions after getting your vaccination. You can still get covid-19 and pass it on. You would probably be asymtomatic.
Vaccination 1. WILL NOT Protect you 100% 2. WILL protect you from getting it bad and killing you Pay attention to the SCIENCE!!!!! |

If you are in the 5%, It's like you never were vaccinated. So again, I'll re-post what I wrote on another COVID thread----- Why does this idiotic rumor keep spreading????? Again, I challenge ANYONE to cite a reputable source for this nonsense. Think of it this way-----why would all the "experts" be pushing the vaccines as the method of obtaining herd immunity and ending this pandemic if the vaccines did not confer immunity. Why spend billions on vaccines that only prevent "death" in the 0.3% of the people who would actually die from it. In fact, in a cold-hearted but social Darwinian model, why keep people who can spread the virus alive? Yet , on just about every COVID thread, some yahoo pops up with the "the vaccine only decreases severity of illness and reduces the chance of death" Use your brains, please. |

Must be a lot of idiots out there if they are willing to get TWO shots, with miserable side effects, thinking that if they are around anyone infected that they will get infected but only get a little sick. Some folks should have to wear a sign that warns others that they do not use their brain to function day to day. It must be from Global Warming, I mean Climate Change, or is it Man Made Climate Change? Proof that some folks' wind mills have frozen solid, not just in Texas. :1rotfl: |

As far as masks? I've said in other pages as well that once everyone who wants the vaccine has it, we can take them off for sure. I'm not running around with a mask on to protect the health of some foolish enough to refuse to get vaccinated. That is Darwin at his greatest. |
Has there been a study that definitely tells us you cannot give someone the virus after taking both shots of the vaccine?

Keep in mind it takes about 12 days after vaccination to achieve immunity and during that time you can still get and spread COVID, so continue to wear a mask for, lets say 2 weeks after 2nd dose. |

From what I got from the Israeli study, ingestion of the virus after being inoculated will kill the virus (spores?) so that you should not be able to contract the disease or communicate it to others. |

Like I said before, I can only base my information on what I have read and what little I can comprehend of the technical details. By the way, did you see the Israeli study of their nasal spray? They have been testing it here in the U.S. and it looks to be 99.99% effective in KILLING the virus if inhaled via the nostril. If so, it may also be a game changer for the morphing virus as it is "supposed" to kill all viruses when they come into contact with the spray. The spray is supposed to be some substance that turns into a protecting gel that coats the inside of the nose. Hey, I can only describe it as I see it, not being a medical professional. |
We have had the first does of vaccine and the second in 7 days. Will give it a few weeks after that and than will start going to shows so we can finally enjoy the entertainment.
At the moment it appears we will continue to wear the masks but for how long, who knows/ |

My understanding, which may be totally wrong so I'm referring to you for guidance, is that everyone who is vaccinated benefits from the mRNA vaccines in that they are protected from severe disease and death. I did not take those efficacy percentages to mean that 5% of totally vaccinated people have no protection at all and it is if they were not vaccinated at all. This statement dismays me. I was eager to be vaccinated so I would feel assured that at least I won't die of Covid directly or even be hospitalized with severe disease. What you have said has dashed that feeling of security for me. |

To me, this means that if it is determined that fully vaccinated people can not transmit the disease, the masks can come off and distancing will not be as critical as it is now. That is just my gut feeling and nothing is written in stone. Also, coming from the CDC with this news that was made available from Israel, is this...... CDC Says Fully Vaccinated People Do Not Need to Quarantine | Health.com IMHO, this is all the more reason for as many people to be vaccinated to reach herd immunity safely. |

Golfing Eagles.....Please read paragraph 1 of this article. It explains how the efficacy percentages work for the mRNA vaccines. This is what I have thought all along how the protective immunity works for fully vaccinated people.......
