Pool landscaping for privacy

I want to add some landscaping for privacy for my pool. Would love to hear what you are using, pros and cons. Interested if you have any airflow and what is the maintenance. What landscaper did you use?

Podocarpus. Great privacy hedge, grows fast, makes a great hedge, easy to trim and shape, tolerates just about any soil type, grows in both sun and shade, and deals with either drought or heavy rain. We have a row on either side of our birdcage.

I second the Podocarpus recommendation. Planted 5 years ago at 4' tall now I maintain them at 7'. Privacy is 85%, still filling in.

Very common in TV.

Podocarpus is a superb privacy plant.

Agree with the above. I don't have Podocarpus at this home but used them in another home in south Florida. I had planted 5 gallon plants along both sides of our property in the back yard which was on a very large lake. Within a couple of years those plants formed a very tight hedge offering total privacy. They grew to be 7' tall and I maintained them at that height. We had no problem with air flow because the back end of the property was open to the lake.

It’s to all of you. Looks like Podocarpus wins by a landslide! I was looking at that as well as bottlebrush bushes not the tree.
