Steve McQueen - Rotten Tomatoes
Loved The Great Escape, Bullitt, The Magnificent Seven, The Getaway, Papillon and Tom Horn. |
Agree, I also liked Junior Bonner and Wanted; dead or alive, which if I remember made the 44/40 Mares Leg famous? Which you can buy replica today from Henry rifles company.

How about the original gone in 60 seconds? Gone in 60 Seconds (1974) Trailer - YouTube I vote for this one. |

While talking about chase scenes, can’t forget the original classic “ Thunder Road” which IMO was the original chase scene. Where Chevy could never catch Ford. But 50 Ford cheated with the 312 thunderbird engine with 3 duces. The original engine swap from 239 flathead to the 312 thunderbird 3 duces creating what’s today called sleeper.
The roll over scene at beginning was originally just spin 180 and go the other direction, but the rolled over and landed on its wheels and they when with it. Thunder Road , 1958 Trailer - YouTube In scene where Robert and his brother prepping the car you clearly see the thunderbird engine. For long time I thought it was olds J2 power Transplant? |
My absolute favorite is Le Mans, great racing film even today.
