I guess you're one of those that let the (visiting) kids take your golf cart out on their own and not know what they are doing with it. :coolsmiley:

Guessing is assuming that you know this poster, and if they have grandchildren. Today watched a 70yo (sadly I am familiar with this person) pull out from neighborhood road onto Canal, right in front of 2 carts and multiple cars. Everyone locked up breaks. Driver who almost caused a accident went on their merry way, clueless.

Since the rule is 14 to drive a cart, until it’s changed, they will always be young drivers. Not all young drivers are evil, and yet, there are older residents that scare the crap out of us.

And there are many grandparents who allow younger, and are an endangering others. But that mind set will not change.

Saw a young boy sitting on grandpa’s lap driving cart yesterday.

At least grandpa was in the cart. How young?

He looked between 65 to 75.

Oh well, I’m doubling my cart insurance.

Sure is bizarre seeing young adolescents driving, but there's always the risk of facing reckless driving around here, no matter who's at the wheel.

Some of these kids are better drivers than older folks.

Two weeks ago someone drove their golf cart into lake Bonita.

Would not have thought it was possible.

My neighbor let his granddaughter drive while he rode wingman in 2019.
She crashed the cart into the rear of my car while I was parked in my driveway.

No telling how it happened, I'm glad it wasn't worse and no one got hurt.
The golf cart took most of the damage.

I doubt he was actually driving it since his feet most likely didnt reach the pedals. Im sure Grandpa had control of the wheel.

Some Villages just think the rules are for other people not them or their sweet grandchildren. Stay alert and protect yourself . Of course if someone gets hurt or killed it will not be on them. Sad situations occur all over.

Will be interesting for the owner when they find out they are liable..

... a LOT of grandparents/parents ALLOWING them to drive and the kids have no clue what they are doing! I was almost hit twice in one day by a kid and then the grandfather (or older person with the kid) was laughing about it!!
