My fingers are crossed also, as he's one of the "good guys." It's hard to believe that it's been since 2017 that he's won. I just hope he is slowly getting rid of all that old scar tissue.

bilcon 04-04-2021 07:31 AM

Go Jordan!

tvbound 04-04-2021 06:28 PM

Yea!

Northwoods 04-04-2021 09:11 PM

So thrilled he won!!!

Yup, he finally closed the deal. Of course, it helped that no one made a serious run, but that's often he case.

I was more impressed with what Patty Tavatanakit did with Lydia Ko nipping at her heels by shooting ten under in the final round of a major.

Finally closed the deal?
No one challenged him?
He beat the field, which is pretty good for a golfer who, as you put it, can't hit woods or irons, just putt.
Can't understand how he manages to win tournaments.:icon_wink:

jebartle 04-05-2021 04:13 AM

Finally got that monkey off his back, and now the Masters, go Jordan.

donassaid 04-05-2021 06:17 AM

Maybe because he hits great iron shots and has a phenomenal short game. What's your handicap?

Why do you have such a hard time giving credit where it is due?
Sheesh.

donassaid 04-05-2021 06:54 AM

Apparently you never saw Seve Ballesteros or Tiger Woods play.

he comes off to me like a self centered whine bag. crying after every shot and posing for the cameras....he has no chance at the masters. he probably won't make the cut.

Their are few pro golfers today that grow the excitement that some have in the past, but I'm in hopes that will be more.

One of the last remaining breaths of fresh air In the sports world.....Go Jordon

yikes. Mike, you need a cup o' joe.

We were pulling for Jordan too - he IS one of the 'good guys' - IMO. Personally I like the back<>forth he always has with his (wonderful) caddie Michael - so informative and interesting for the viewer. As like on a later hole he hit into a green bunker and told Michael - my fault I chose the wrong club. Good to see him finally get a trophy, and hopefully gain more and more confidence.

I DO agree with one of the rsp here - the 'field' at Valero was not especially heavy with top guys, but so be it.

I look forward to the Masters - I, for one, am SO THANKFUL that they weren't forced to MOVE the Masters OUT OF GEORGIA, and fold like the MLB and other corps crying re the new law. Sorry for the rant, but it possibly could have happened, with more 'lead time'.

Also, so pleased the galleries (albeit light) are back. But pls folks - no more "IN THE HOLE!!!" it's so 1990s...
