large ipad for maps and golf apps?
 

Hi everyone,

Has anyone installed a large screen ipad in their cart? My wife and I are both terrible with directions and we also like to use various golf apps to view the hole, distance etc. Curious if anyone has tried a big ipad in their cart

Another approach
 

If you have a small iPad or an iPhone here is another idea.

Install a TV on your cart, and get an Apple TV to connect to it or get an Airplay compatible TV. Then you can Airplay your iPhone to it. To do this you will also need an inverter to convert your battery 12vdc to 120vac. But all that together is less than an iPad Air.

I am not sure how large you want, the TV can be as large as you want, whereas the largest iPad is a pro at around 12 inches.

Just ensure that the Ipad is one that is cellular compatible - has a place for the SIM cars. I believe those are the only ones with the GPS built in.

I’ve thought about it. Of course you’ll need a cellular capable iPad - but there are a ton of iPad car mounts online.

This is good - but I use a big older iPad for maps - I go to Europe and drive, so that's my GPS. I've not found a holder for a bigger one - except the kind that go on the back of a car headrest, which does me no good!

I may modify one. That would be pretty good....
