Turner Classic Movies channel has been showing Oscar nominated movies/actors this month from the 1930s forward. I have recorded many and have watched a few so far. If you enjoy old movies check it out. Sorry it’s so late in the month that I thought to mention it.

And in comparison to the crap paraded as Oscar candidates this year, the older movies are SO much better.

So many great movies from the last century.

And don’t forget film noir night on Saturday at 12 midnight and replayed at 10 am Sunday it’s been off this month but will be back , nice little discussion before and after movie

I read your comment and it hit me - LAST CENTURY? sure makes a person feel old... but so agree - esp when the CGI stuff is SO over done...

Try to watch some of those early 1930’s pre code movies you would be surprised how much of a bite they have compared to the way they had to be made later in the decades because of code restrictions
