Install 25 foot gas line for pool heater.

Job includes the exact same steps regardless of company used. I called the following companies for a quote. Got a real wake up moment..
Torri plumbing $ 900.00
Mike Scott Plumbing $ 1,550.00
Patrick's heating & air $ 2,450.00
Ross plumbing $1,850.00
Fireplace installers $947.00
I'm very glad I didn't just use the 1st company that came out. Most all companies required the owner to be here to quote this simple job. Just wanted to let you all see how much some of these companies over charge for jobs. One company quoted $100.00 per foot to dig in this sand..WOW.

"Over charge.?" Perhaps you should ask the companies why the difference in price.
We do not have gas in our area. Several neighbors have installed a buried LP gas tank
looks sort of like a small submarine. I was a bit surprised that the lines carrying gas are plastic. Hum-hit it with a shovel etc. Running the gas line-is it buried or do they plan on running it through your attic? We had gas in our previous home-not Florida. It was far better for cooking than electricity and far cheaper for heating than oil. All the gas lines were metal pipe.

Also the price can depend on how busy they are. If they have more than enough jobs lined up, they do not need to care if they get the job or not.

Save the $100 per foot by digging the trench yourself. It's very easy digging down here. They all they have to do is lay the pipe. After it's been inspected, you can cover it up.
