No guest pass is needed for champ golf, but it's cheaper if you have one.

Championship Golf

The "RG" (Resident Guest) is the rate for a guest with a guest pass.
The "NR" is the rate for a non resident without a guest pass

You need a guest pass to play the Exec courses BUT the golf is not free for those with a guest pass. Also be forewarned, if you put in a request with a guest, all requests without guests are accommodated before the requests with guests are considered.

I had a guest last week and we played an executive course. We walked, and had our own push carts. He said they charged him $11. We played Pelican. He thought it was a marvelous deal.

I think if we'd ridden a cart he would have to pay a "trail fee", and I think that's $4, but I'm not sure. I don't pay them because I have a Priority Golf Membership, and trail fees are waived.

That’s the fee now, $15 riding, $11 walking.

Once upon a time, when I would come down to visit, my hosts and DW and I would play a couple rounds of executive golf. I can't remember exactly what it cost then, but we had a blast and I thought it was a wonderful bargain.
When I heard about the "free executive golf" I had a vision of what those courses would look like. Then I saw Pelican and Heron....WOW...did my perception change.
I'm a 6 1/2 month seasonal resident now, and I consider the executive courses a treasure. They get beat up during the high season, but I still enjoy them.

Yes. When reserving tee times using the online system check the box for guest then enter your villages ID. The clubhouse/starter will check their guest id upon check in.

A little off topic but do you have experience renting clubs for a guest? I couldn't find that info on line. I am in the historic area.

I keep spare sets for guests - also historic section.

You can rent them at the nearest championship course and take them to the executive course you are playing. I keep a couple spare sets for guests. Found a great deal for a used set of irons at Brownwood golf store for $29.

You can purchase a half decent spare set of clubs with bag, at Marion Mkt. at a very reasonable price, or from the the Classified Section on TOTV.
A whole lot cheaper in the long run.
