Sprinkler System Contractor

Just moved to TV and sprinkler system was broken. Two contractors said entire system must be replaced (pricing from $1800-$2700). The third contractor said he could tie off sprinkler heads not being used, rearrange and replace sprinklers to hit plants properly.
Work is now done - my sprinkler system has been rejuvenated and works great! Cost for
project - $250.including new sprinklers. Am forwarding his name in case you want an honest, hard-working sprinkler man:

We too had one of those dudes try to sell us a 2,000 or so snow job. Hum a snow job in Florida. Hum, does he think I just fell off the turnip truck?

The guy pulled up in a gorgeous white Lincoln or Cadillac pick up truck. He wanted to replace the timer, all the heads. Rebuild all the valves etc. Oh and he showed me, flashed supposed contracts of people who want to pay for his kids college education as well as his new pick up.

Yes on Devon Walker. Found broken pipe and repaired it in less than 30 minutes. Fair price.

Does anyone know if Mike Edinger of the Irrigation Doctor is still in business?

We bought a villa and the entire sprinkler system was wonky. Since we had eliminated all grass and have well-established shrubs we didn't think it would be a difficult fix. One contractor bid a total reinstallation for upwards of $2,000. We found Devon Walker on this thread and he came and basically closed off the broken pipes and installed a simple system for the plants for $400.00. He was prompt, professional and did a great job.
