Better not try that going up or down on Road to Hana

The road to Hana is hyped for tourism, Did it and came all the way around Island where tourists and rental cars are told not to go MEH!
The north side up past Kapelua is the real deal!

Beautiful set of islands.

Been there several times on a cruise and very happy took a ships tour to Hana. Was supposed to come down another way but due to an accident had to come down the same road we went up on.

Beautiful photo, when we were there we enjoyed the ride. At the end of the road there was a place that had home made pineapple wine - which of course I had to try. Being used to Napa cab it was MEH to me.

Location ..

Narrow and close to the edge in places. If a car was coming at you, you were out of luck.

Hana was the base road for the tourists...Go north side go real..
