Sorry Polar Bear, I was writing a congratulations thread for Phil at the same time as you and I accidentally duplicated your efforts. Great victory for Phil, very impressed.

I loved, LOVED, the cheers of the gallery. I have always been a fan of ole lefty.

Instead of missing fairways left and right and missing short putts, he was in a Michael Jordan-like zone.

what a great time watching Phil playing that tough course so strong. Glad to see him able to hang in mentally and physically. He had been also-ran to Tiger for so many years. Great to see the fans out there - the 'swarming' was a bit scary tho. I must say - the worst thing about watching Pro golf on TV with the gallery is the yelling "IN THE HOLE!!!" - that is so 2000s. Was also happy to see Brooks finish well, he lost sole 2nd when missing a couple shorter putts. He must have been in pain with his knees.

I think that Nick Faldo is the best analyst, and Dottie Pepper the best on-course golf people. Great insight by both. And the drone shots, wonderful.

Phil and I have some things in common. We are both right-handed, but play golf left handed. OK... that's ALL we have in common - esp when it comes to age and golf skills...

Great win for the old guys. A lot of people don't think about it, but if not for Tiger, Phil would have been the greatest player of a generation.
