More Corporate responsibility shown

Crispy Creme is giving a free donut to anyone showing their vaccination card. One donut per day for the rest of the year.

Good for them.

Interesting that the first 2 corporations I have seen taking action to help meet vaccination goals are two companies I don't use, and I think their products contribute to our healthcare crisis by contributing to diabetes and fatty liver disease.

It seems a tad ironic, but maybe their will lead the way for other companies to reconsider their responsibilities to be a positive influence on our country.

Well then we know this method works!

I know one of the stores - maybe Walgreens? Is giving a $5 gift card out to anyone who gets their vaccine there, and the vaccine is given free.

Same kind of thing as when the CVS in Target gives out $5 or $10 Target credit if you get the flu shot during flu season there.

Anyone who WOULD get the vaccine, but is either unmotivated, or unsure, or merely hesitant and not actively against it - now has incentive to just get out there and do it.

Yes, I think you are saying it is cheap advertising for the company to get people to buy their product or visit their store. That is true - that is capitalism. Sadly MOST of the time companies focus on making more money regardless of the consequences to citizens.

I like that it is possible for them to advertise and support public benefits. Whether or not it is a vaccination, or some other public benefit doesn't matter. Companies becoming more responsible "citizens" is a refreshing change over "predatory capitalism" that is practiced by most large corporations.

None of these are close to the Villages.

Krispy Kreme donut shops give ANYONE that walks in a hot donut for years now....a sample. They often hire physically/mentally challenged individuals to "host" and walk around offering said samples and interacting with/answering questions for the clients....I have loved that about them for years. Win/Win

There are many corporations which do good works.

Except the worse health outcomes for those with COVID were those who were obese - so get a donut and a beer.
