Green Empire Zoysia Grass
 

Many have stopped and asked me how I keep my Zoysia grass green all year...especially this past May.

1. Mow to 2.5 inches.
2. Apply 0.75 inches of water (53 minutes per zone) every 5 days.

The Hunter MP rotors apply about 1 inch in 70 minutes. Applying 3/4 inches of water at once makes for deep roots that keeps the grass from going dormant. Resist the urge to water more often than that.
