Bikes & The Bridge to the Historic Side
Are bikes allowed on the big bridge to the historic side? A sign on one end says pedestrians and golf carts only. Thanks.

Yes, but the question is, should you? So narrow, sharp rise; carts coming from the other way may not see you in time.

There are a rare few folks who bicycle over the bridge. I can tell you they all have orange warning banners attached to their bikes that extend a few feet higher than their heads. This is a terrific idea, since if I'm about to hit the top of the hill on my golf cart, I can see that flag and know there's someone on the bike up ahead, and can slow down accordingly.

If the sign says pedestrians and golf carts only, why would you want to do it? It's a death wish.

Bicyclist's are pedestrians in the case of that bridge (path) |
"Pedestrians" - Are golf carts to follow a walker up and down that bride, bad Idea for walking over that bridge.
That sign if it does say "Pedestrians and Golf Carts Only" should be changed to "Golf Carts ONLY". No room to pass one another on the 441 bridge. I can see it now, an 85-year-old person trying to walk up the bridge with their push cart... :MOJE_whot: |
