Anyone else see Colin Powell
 

on Meet The Press this week. Thoughtful, intelligent articulate. A great American. So much more impressive than the current crop of GOP "leaders" like Palin, Bachman,Gingrich and the rest of the Birthers and Tea Party crazies.

He is a Great American. Perhaps Obama will have a place for him, Bill Clinton and Scott Brown.

You mean the same Colin Powell who said the following regarding illegal immigrants on "Meet the Press" Sunday ?

"They're all over my house, doing things whenever I call for repairs, and I'm sure you've seen them at your house. We've got to find a way to bring these people out of the darkness and give them some kind of status."

Since then he has tried to backtrack and claimed he was just talking about legal immigrants. Most people in this country are legal immigrants or ancestors of such so why would he even mention that ?

I remember not too long ago (before he endorsed Obama) that Colin Powell was not described this way by the left. Remember, he was Cheney's sidekick.

And here's his statement of clarification about his statement in the interview, "...We have millions and millions of illegal immigrants in our country. Undocumented individuals who are working. Who are doing things we need done in this country. They're all over at my house doing things when ever I call for repairs. I'm sure you've seen them at your house."

Birthers?

Colin Powell proved in this interview how irrelevant he is to the state of the union. I can't see him as anything but an embarrassment to the ideals and beliefs he once seemed to embody.

he came out in support of Obama for POTUS.
He is very different in his values since he retired from the military.
