Blink home security system
 

We are looking at the Blink wireless security system from Amazon. It is inexpensive and seems to do the job.

Has anyone tried this out?

It's not clear how it works

1) you get what you pay for...yeah I know you know, but hey!...you get what you pay for.
2) if you don't understand how it works google "blink home security"and also you tube it. you'll get there.

We have Blink in our CYV and Georgia vacation home. There is an app you download, then if someone gets within range of the camera it takes their movie picture and sends you a warning. You can also just take a snapshot. Picture quality is good and in color.

We have actual experience, with Blink, and use it at three of our homes.
Our outside cameras can pick up cars on the street, if we choose. I know who walks nears our home, when our lawn is mowed, and when pest guy sprays lawn.

Actually anyone who works at our homes, can speak to us through the cameras. Any video is up loaded to cloud if I choose. Also know when our home watch comes to the house, and immediately can solve a problem.

We we alerted to the bobcat, walking by our lanai, and the gator that chose our yard to go to the pond. Both were at night, could see both wildlife very clearly. I can check the temps from any cameras. Anytime a camera is alerted, it comes to our phones, iPads, and Alexa.

Our garage cameras actually alerted us the HVAC had issues, the noise, vibration triggered the cameras, along with the temp alarm in the house. I called the guy, remotely let them in the garage, problem taken care of.

In our 4th house we use a traditional alarm system, which is good, but not sure it would have caught the HVAC issue. We have used Blink since it was introduced, and have been very happy with all three systems.
