Like to find a good Ford Dealer

My wife and I just moved to The Villages a few weeks ago and are, as most newbies, unsure whom to trust with our hard-earned $$. I need to have our Ford Explorer's illnesses diagnosed. Are there any "stand-out" Ford service departments in this area?

We had to use Key Scales Ford in Leesburg for an emergency problem and found them to be very nice. They were even holding a rental car for us incase we needed it and much cheaper then renting from Lake Sumter car rental.

Their number is 352-748-2485 or 352-787-3511 and Fred Dorsey is the Certified Service Advisor.

Thanks alot for the tip. I hate flying blind. Especially when it appears to be a transmission problem.

Stay away from the Ford dealer in Belleview.

I get a lot of our car repairs at

Meredith's Auto Clinic
40739 County Road 25, Lady Lake, FL 32159-2510 (352) 753-1033

recommended by my uncle who has lived in TV for 20 years and is a volunteer bartender at the Legion Hall on 466 (so he talks to many TV folk)

.

On the flip side of the coin, I can tell you that we have had the most exasperating experience with auto repair and sales at Sullivan Cadillac in Ocala, that we have ever had.

The story is a mile long but in the end we were so frustrated that we traded the car in on a completely different brand at a different dealership.

It did provide me, though, with the opportunity to use one of my favorite "ad lib" lines. After writing a letter to Cadillac customer service, I got a call from the corporate headquarters. The lady apologized and said, "Is there anything we can do to get you back into the "Cadillac Family." I replied, "I am not part of the Cadillac Family. You don't treat family members the way we were treated."

ford dealer

beware of the ford dealer in belleview. It is called ford of ocala. stay away, had terrible experience with them. It took our former ford dealer in michigan to put them in place. About $1500 in repairs they would not cover, said warranty had expired. The dealer I bought it from 18 months earlier in michigan said it was. advice stay away from them. All they want to do is sell you a new car.
