Anyone know of local handyman to install 1 piece ~9' gutter & a downspout ?
@Moderator .... "mission accomplished" please feel free to close thread.
Need a local handyman who knows how to install a gutter. Don't want to DIY, Just had new landscaping put in and need a single (about) 9 ft long gutter and downspout installed because water is running off garage roof like a waterfall and may ruin the new planting. Everything else is "guttered" except that one spot because previously there were a lot of large 15 yr old shrubs under it. Called the local "big guys" and they are scheduling out 3-4 MONTHS! Same for irrigation service .... 3-4 months from the "recommended" folks! In any case I will gladly pick up the needed supplies from Lowes if necessary. Just need someone to do it. Any suggestions? Don't want to DIY because I recently injured my arse (medical term coccyx!) falling when a 2 step step-stool on a slippery driveway slid from under me while washing my car! Been 6 weeks and still a real pain in the arse.:1rotfl: |
Far from an expert but we have a valley in our back roof. In a rain it is like a small waterfall for a gutter to help the water needs to be slowed or it will just bypass the gutter.
Also, the down spout, you need to dump the water somewhere. Handyman? |

I need gutters installed around the entire house. Thanks. |
Call Doc's Restorations (352) 753-0056 We have used them as well as others on our street. They do large and small jobs at a good price. If you have a problem you can call the owner. A quick call to see if they will do it.

Penny wise dollars foolish. It will be cheaper to get s professional to do the work.

Gutters are finicky. Special tools needed to do it right and make it pretty.
I could do it but, like you, I do not do ladders anymore. My personal opinion.... gutters are a waste. Better roof design (Overhangs by at least 12") and design of the ground apron around the house is more important. Rocks, sloping, etc. Go outside in the heaviest rains... the rain water is swooshing over the top of the gutters. Useless. Oh right, we need them to catch a drip in a slow rain so we don't get wet. FYI. We are all waterproof |
