Animal Wildlife Trappers Alternative??
 

I would like to prevent rats, squirrels and raccoons from entering my attic by pushing up the soffit where it intersects the roof. I have 8 of these intersections. Animal Wildlife Trappers wants $2200 to install concrete in this area. Seems like a lot for 8 triangular pieces of concrete.

Has anyone found a better option?

I haven't heard of this being a problem in TV...I couldn't tell from your post if you are just concerned or have had critters entering your attic

critters are attracted to food, you might want to get rid of anything in your yard that might attract the little devils before shelling out the bucks

Sounds very high to me also, do you have a landscaping company, if so ask them about traps, etc for the animals, Deans did this for me a few years ago at no additional cost. I would also follow-up with a pest control company about the soffit.

I don't have animals in the attic yet. My goal is to prevent them from getting in. Massey hires Animal Wildlife Trappers to install these barriers. They don't do it themselves. I'm hoping someone has used a different company to install the barriers or has a less expensive method of keeping the animals out. I know they walk on my roof.

I've found the villages people to be helpful. It is only a phone call. Barriers? To be honest I do not know what they are. If, they work or a fair price. My view on many things is if it isn't broken don't fix it. A roof needs to vent. You do not want to cover vents.

Animals on a roof? Something is attracting them. Tree branches over your home?

Not sure I understand the question/problem, but you might want to take a broom handle to determine if they even push up or if they are anchored in place.

A picture of what exactly you're asking about would help.

I think installing what you suggest would be just expensive overkill.
I would wait untill there is a problem in this case.

2 years ago I had raccoons in the attic. They had pushed up a soffit to get in. Squirrels took advantage of the opening and also went in. They leave every day to search for food so the company installed a one way door at the opening so they could get out but not back in. When there was no sign of animals in the attic they sealed all the roof/soffit intersections with concrete. That worked fine until I needed my roof replaced. Since then I cut some trees that had made it easier for raccoons to get on the roof. Can't stop squirrels though. The house across the street has racoons. Don't want them coming to my house after my neighbors house is sealed up.
