Natural Gas Lines in TV

Sorry but I can't answer your exact question. We do not have natural gas but, along with several neighbors, have installed a PIG (propane in ground) tank and converted our stove to gas along with connecting our outdoor grill. The tank is topped off regularly and has never been an issue in over ten years.

I sent you a PM that may help.

I know homes in CDD4 all have gas. We are at the northern edge of the Villages in Marion county. I recall hearing that the older CDDs, above 466 have gas. And that places below 466A to county 42 do not, again someone told us this. I am surprised that a Villages sales person does not know, I think what I repeated was told to us by our Villages sales person. Possibly it is not as cut and dried, some areas in between 466 and 42 have gas for example. Thus the vague answers.

1. I spoke to both gas utility providers. They can only search by an individual address.
2. I spoke with both a VLM agent and MLS realtor. They can only search current listings by key words like “gas”.
3. I contacted TV District office, they could not help.
4. I called the construction development office who referred me to the gas companies!

I completed a lifestyle preview visit, and hoping to move to TV. I know most of the new construction has connectivity to natural gas, but I’m looking at existing homes too. I’m just perplexed that no one WITH TV can help with this simple information. I mean they can tell which homes have a certain HVAC unit, or how old the roof is on a home, but they don’t know which neighborhoods they installed natural gas lines in??
If anyone has the name of a contact person with TV that might have this information, please advise.
TIA

I don't know who you can contact, however, when we had our house built in Glenbrook (CDD 3) we had the option of natural gas or electric for appliances and HVAC. Our stove, drier and HVAC are all gas as is our water heater. I would guess that any resale in this area would have access to natural gas. Perhaps others, in different CDDs, following this thread could comment on whether or not their neighborhood has natural gas lines.

Our home in Mallory Square has natural gas.

We are in CDD 4 and Marion County and do not have gas. I always thought it was a southern thing but sounds like it is a little hear, a little there…

La Zamora has natural gas.

Piedmont and Springdale have natural gas. Gas costs $18.70 per month just for the hook-up. This month, and most except for a couple of winter months, the hook-up charges exceed the cost of gas purchased. I wonder if it saves that much over a heat pump on a year-round basis. It is nice to have a gas clothes dryer and water heater that actually get clothes dry and water hot, though.

Love the CNG ... Like previously said... Hot water , dry clothes, and a controlled cooking temperature.. you are doing your do diligence, bless you .

our house in tall trees has gas heat and water but the stove has both, i believe gas goes down to 466a. gas lines are not what you had up north, they are in the attic and are like the dryer hook up lines.

We have gas in Bridgeport Lake Sumter.
