urgent care near the villages
 

Any recommendations for an urgent care clinic near the villages. Went to ER at villages hospital for a boil but wait was 6 hours. There is a critical care at Leesburg hospital. anyone have experience with that?

We have gone to the urgent care on 44 and Powell road for minor items that needed medical attention but NOT an ER, there is also a new one on 466a and Gray road that my stepson just used very good care and follow-up. For more severe injuries, we have used the free standing ER on 466a just East of Trailwinds shopping center with excellent results. This facility is associated with Ocala Hospital.

There are urgent care facilities all around The Villages. I use one on 44.

If you have VA healthcare, you can check with your PCP and get a list of Urgent Care facilities in The Villages that work with the VA - that means, no paperwork, no charges, and they have access to your medical records.

If you don't have VA healthcare, I would recommend asking your healthcare insurance provider this question, to make sure you don't get a surprise bill for a couple of thousand dollars.

Paramount urgent care. Avoid an ER unless life threatening emergency. ER will send you a bill that will inflict pain even with insurance
