Recommendation needed for Speedometer installation

Looking for a recommendation to have a speedometer installed on a 2017 Yamaha Drive 2 QuieTech that I just purchased. I currently have an ExRay on my 2008 EZGO which will be sold with the cart. Any pricing or installer recommendations would be appreciated.

Get a Speedometer app on your cell phone!

The villages app that costs a few dollars give you directions as well as a speedometer. Get a cell phone holder that fits in your cart's dash and your all set. I use an app from Ulysses Speedometer downloaded from google play store on my android phone most of the time.

Ty- I already have that but I want an installed speedometer

If you go to Amazon you will find many GPS enabled speedometers several which include other options like Odometer and indicators lights if you want them. These are easy to install and i will be glad to install or help you send me a PM and we can discuss over the phone and i can show you what I have. PS the GPS units do not need to be calibrated.

The Trail Tech Striker model is what you see on the vast majority of the carts here in TV

Get a speedometer app on your phone. Then get a holder for your phone for your cart cup holder. Works much better and cheaper. No installation no wires to go bad.

Download a free App.

If you got an inexpensive GPS Unit, like a Garmin, You would have maps, speedometer, compass and elevation all in one package and not have to worry about having your phone sitting out..

Yep, and the Yamaha factory installed model is also a Trail Tech Striker. Their website is where Yamaha sent me for instructions on how to calibrate mine for 12 inch tires.

From what I have seen you need to have the original Yamaha wiring to get the correct signals from the on board EFI computer. If you do not have this wiring and the associated multiwire connector I do not think you will be able to use or have the guage installed. Be sure to check this out before you buy the guage.

I used Bob Sain (bdsain@thevillages.net). Phone 352 399-5115. $100 installed.
Very satisfied with product. Good luck.
