UF New Health Facility
 

Looks like UF has moved their planned medical city facility including the new Hospital from Sumter county to Lake County. Wonder why :). Lake County is counting the tax dollars.

The plan has not changed, the South East corner has always been in Lake County.

Actually I believe that actual BUILDING was moved, and I will bet this was due to impact fees.

I agree, during the meetings the President of UF presented that option should the Commissioners continue to pursue their direction. Lake County, at the time was hopeful that Sumter would pursue raising the impact fees since if UF moved they would receive the tax revenue. I suspect UF had no confidence that the existing Commissioners would be pro business going forward so in their interest to move to Lake. Will see if more of that happens as TV expands in Lake County.
