My Recommendation for inexpensive Golf Cart

I recently purchased a used Golf Cart from Karp's Carts.

My son recently fell on hard times and has moved in with us. He got a job here in The Villages and needed something he could drive without a license. I have an LSV, which requires a license to drive. This was a good solution.

I got burned pretty good on a used cart when I first moved here last year. So I wanted to be careful to NOT repeat that experience. Steve had an older Club Car for $1,400, basic but Village ready and looking pretty good. Batteries were Trojan from late 2007. After telling him my tale of woe, I asked if he would consider renting for a week first. His response was just go ahead an take if for a few days, if you like it come back and pay for it, otherwise bring it back.

I took him up on the offer and it worked out very well. The Cart was reliable and in good condition. The charger was quiet and worked just fine. To test the distance my son drove from Hemingway to Wal-Mart on 441, then to Wal-Mart on 466, then back home. It made it just fine.

If you are interested in a low priced cart, contact Steve Karpovich at 203-733-7799 or 352-459-1536. He is in the Historic Section of The Villages.

Those 2007 Trojans will need to be replaced within a year.

They are strong now, so I figure more like two years.

Yes, I bought the cart for $1,400. Still happy with the purchase.

I am glad everything worked out for you. Also, your son is lucky to have such great parents. My daughter has worked hard all her life and if she fell on hard times I would be by her side as quick as lightning. I am sure your son would do the same for you as I know my daughter would be me.
