Old gasoline disposal
I am in the process of selling a car, and I had to drain the old gasoline to get it started.
I am looking for ideas to get rid of about 4 gallons of old stale gasoline, I am not interested in burning, pouring down the drain, etc. tI might be useable in small engines, not sure and it could possibly be mixed with new gas for small engines, however I do not have any equipment that is gasoline engine driven. Any ideas? |

If I owned ICE lawn equipment I would hesitate to use old fuel. They require enough maintenance without that. I guess I would call a number on hazardous waste removal/disposal. Most counties have them. |

Hazardous waste site: 819 County Road 529 (according to GMaps Sumterville 33585) accoriding to Sumter County (Lake Panashofsky?) 8 to 4 pm Tuesday to Saturday, apparently no local phone number. |

Had to drain the tank to start car? Sounds like water in the gas and rust in the tank. |

mix it into existing
in your cars, you have something like 16 gallons or so, mix in a gallon with each of the next few fill ups and it will be fine,

Give Tuffy a call, they will advise.
Worst case take the drive up to Baseline, there is a hazardous waste recovery there. It is on the right when you drive in on the access road. Before the scales for large bulk drop off. |
That 86 have a rubber bladder? That's the only thing that saved the tank in my '78 Pace Car.
Btw, did you mention you swapped out the fuel filter?? Mike |
