Dishwasher leaking

Does anyone out there know what may be causing my dishwasher to leak water all over the floor occasionally? I just had laminate floors installed yesterday and it already ruined them in front of the machine?:shrug::click::shrug::mad:

the panel below the door usually comes off, you might want to look in their to see what you can see....gn

Mine was leaking due to a hole in the hose leading to the water line. It was under warranty so GE fixed it but we later elected to replace it with a Kenmore that actually cleans the dishes.

Check to make sure the seal is good. We had to have ours replaced.
If the seal is ok then you might want to cut down on the amount of detergent used.....the 2nd problem with ours.
We have had no other problems with leaking since cutting back on the amount of detergent.

dishwasher leaking

I had the same problem. The GE Rep came to my new villa and checked it out. I was using too much liquid detergent. He told me to use NO MORE than a tablespoon.

More than likely you do the same thing I was doing. I used enough liquid detergent to almost fill the cup. If you do this, the excess detergent forms suds, which then burst and overflow as "clear water" on your floor. This is how he explained it to me.

I was shocked, but the Rep was right on. Once I started using only a tablespoon of liquid detergent, I never again had the problem. Hope your fix is as easy as mine was. It won't hurt to try it.
