what are the restrictions an using floats in the pool and why would anyone want to restrict someone's relaxation time.. some of the rules here are absolutely ridiculous. I'm not talking about a huge 4 person blow up thing, just a small float to relax on.. It's better that those dumb bell looking things i see a bunch of people using, disrupting the pool with the jumping around and "exercise" pushing the water all over so you can't relax.. I thought there were pools specifically for exercise. any way I want to know what the limits are for floatation devices

I have used a noodle also in the neighborhood pool. Seems those are used by a lot of people. Are noodles considered to be "floating devices"?

I am very puzzled at OP’s apparent level of outrage over pool rules. At every public pool I’ve ever been to, there have been rules. Just because OP does not like one, doesn’t mean s(he) will get their way, and why in the world does the OP think writing about their upset on this forum would resolve the situation to their satisfaction? Perhaps they’re just venting?

Even a one-person float/mattress is going to take up significantly more space than the person lying on it. There is only so much room in the pool. Other people don't want you floating around on a blow up mattress banging into them. Why is it so hard to understand why such a rule would exist?

We actually bring small floating seats and have never had an issue. No bigger than the noodle seats.

One more person who does not like to follow simple rules. As one person said, put in your own pool or follow the rules. . You always have the freedom to move elsewhere where rules do not matter for a majority.

Noodles are allowed in all pools EXCEPT country club pools which you must pay extra to use via a pool membership or a priority golf membership.

Moving water around in a pool!!! So if one doesn’t have dumbells and wants to move their body at all in the pool, you would be outraged? Are we supposed to stand still in the pool? You are being ridiculous.

Sort of like when i want to actually swim in the pool but can’t because of all the people “relaxing”? I thought that’s what the chairs were for? :a040:

I’m so glad that we invested well enough in our working lives to have a pool being put in by T & D so we do disrupt you with our exercising with our dumb bells.

Get up early enough to beat the people there that are there to have a good time.

Noodles are ok, period. Floats take up too much room, period. Like someone else stated if you want to float around on your float to relax REALLY?? Go relax on a lounge chair that's what they are for, or buy a house with your own private pool. This past Jan, Feb, march on several days I counted as much as 18 people in the pool at one time. There was some idiot literally jumping in the pool how crazy is that. After his second jump in I just had to confront him in a nice way about the rules of jumping in. What a idiot.
