I think I missed the joke. Dade city is 50 miles from The Villages and 38 from Tampa; the six mile difference could disappear depending on exactly where in The Villages and Tampa everyone is starting from.

Brooksville came up. Driven through there many times but never stopped.

We have friends in Tampa and we meet at Kafe Kokopelli every couple months. May not be exactly a middle but the food is good and the atmosphere gives us some quiet privacy to catch up.

Web says Rital fl is halfway. Cracker barrel right off I 75. Otherwise fast food

My friend and I always meet at Wiregrass Mall, or the Lutz Outlet area.
Same travel distance for both (approximately) and lots of choices.

Thake them to the red neck hot dog place in Brooksville ...... better known as the Coney Island Drive Inn. Lot's of interesting characters there.
