Best service EVER

Big shout out to Tom McKee at Total Recon, Inc., in Leesburg.

We recently returned from a trip to Massachusetts and when washing our car we noticed a sticky substance all over the hood, grill, headlights and sides of the car. We tried using Dawn, but could not remove it. We took the car to Total Recon and the owner, Tom McKee knew exactly what it was, removed the substance and buffed the car. Our car looks perfect again. We are so happy with the result and to top it off, he did not charge us even though my husband insisted on paying. Tom is knowledgeable, professional and a wonderful person. We highly recommend this business.

Second that! He did a fantastic job of getting our car “show” ready - meaning cleaner and tighter then factory new off the showroom floor.

Tom is a great guy and does fantastic work.

If you have a car you love but it needs some TLC bring it to Total Recon. In lieu of buying a new car we brought our 2008 Mercedes and 2008 BMW to Tom. Both cars have low mileage and after they finished with them they looked brand new. Beautiful work, class outfit and we highly recommend.

My guess, tree sap?

Total recon made a 12" hood 'keyed' scratch disappear and refinished my wheels to make them look like new, curb rash gone.

aallbrand 08-24-2021 08:17 AM

wow
Why would he not want to charge you. Are you a relative/

chasandvalr 08-24-2021 08:32 AM

If I tell him you said it was free, will he honor that?

We have had Tom work on our cars for a few years. He is the best at what he does. Honest, fair and very knowledgeable about his business. Highly recommend him and his crew.

I don't understand how this could have possibly been done for free, please explain.

Wow as you can tell we the people of the village of been abused by many that offered to fix things for us. This is very sad that some become very hard hearted about it. I believe there are still good people out there and you fortunately found one. I’m so sorry that you’re being questioned about what you so joyfully told us about your car. Let’s only hope these people would never go there and ask him if he said that to you, but I’ve heard of about everything here. Maybe because they have become so hard hearted they can’t imagine somebody doing a good deed like this. I have owned businesses I can’t think of a better way to earn someone’s loyalty to come back when needed again. This is not taking away for what he did he may not of even thought about that, but I will guarantee you if I need someone to work on my car I would go talk to him. I feel he’s just a good person and he did something that didn’t take a lot of his time and passed along a good deed for the day. I do hope that the people who were negative think about this and about your reply, you hurt the person who wrote it, the person who fix the car, and mainly yourself. I feel the person who wrote this did us all a favor by letting us know their outcome, and I for one hope they don’t let this get to them and let us know any other good things that happen. We need all the good we can hear at this time!

I had similar situation at Wildwood tire, was a big issue no charge. Good honest service people are rare. Hopefully they won’t change.
