I got an email from TOTV this morning at 9:08 saying to submit any comments regarding recent golfing experiences here in The Villages for a chance to receive a $50.00 gift card (unspecified). You know this will result in many comments.

Maybe they're trying to drown out the Covid threads with golf threads. But you're probably on the mark with more clicks for the advertising revenue.

I played Hacienda about 2 weeks ago. There was a weed on the 7th tee on the Oaks that was 8 inches high. I have a picture.
This past Saturday. I’m chipping at Glenview..employee goes by in a cart and yells at me..
Knee high or lower. I accidentally flipped one and it went about thigh high. What he should have done is watch me to see if I was hitting shots higher on purpose. Instead he saw the one that got away from me and yelled at me like I was 2. Very poor way to do the job.

Will we all get to know who won the gift cert??

The condition of the championship courses (CCs) now compared to two months ago is very good. We've had so much rain that we finally have grass in the fairways at most of the CCs. When the dry season comes again, can't the fairways be cut less frequently? Too often in the past we've seen the mowers mowing dirt so that there's a huge cloud of dust following them. In some cases the fairways had less grass than the greens. The greens generally are pretty slow on most courses but that's understandable given the very hot weather. Normally, we play at Palmer, Glenview, Tierra, Cane, Mallory, Havana, Bonifay and Belle Glade.

All I can say is if you don’t like how TV maintain the golf courses or anything else, the Morris’s make millions maybe billions of dollars & I really don’t think they’ll change because what any of us think, they’re making a lot of money, so don’t complain if you don’t like how TV do things, move outside the bubble & see how much better it gets. TV is a great place to live no matter what anybody thinks! TV didn’t get this big because they’re not doing it right!
