Taken this past spring. They were just sunbathing on a log.

Aww, makes you wish you could take one home and keep it in the bathtub no one uses!

Remember Don Johnson years back on a TV show Miami Vice, he kept a alligator on his boat as a pet??

Really? These little cuties grow up & kill people. Why in the world would anyone want them alive?

Has there ever been an alligator attack in TV?

I hope you're kidding. They were here long before we were, and will be here after we've managed to wipe ourselves out.

Actually dogs kill about 100 times as many people as alligators do. Alligator attacks are extremely rare. Hollywood loves to show those, but they almost never happen in reality.

I am a native Floridian and grew up in or near the Everglades with alligators around all the time. I have swam, fished and waded with them my entire life and have never witnessed an act of aggression by an alligator.

That said they can be dangerous. They can run over 35 mph, they can leap 5 feet in the air, and they can climb trees. All that said, they are cold blooded and more than anything they enjoy laying around in the sun. They will eat small animals, like small dogs, and if one goes after your dog it is a bad idea to come between alligator and its food. You probably won’t die, but you probably will regret living with the pain.

I think that if you sit quietly next to one and rub its belly, it will fall asleep!
