I see that there are not supposed to be any political references in this venue. Why do I see political ads on this site all the time. Sure looks like a double standard. As long as you pay it's ok, what a bunch of BS!!!!!!

The political ads have nothing directly to do with this forum. They are generated just like the ads you see on Google or Facebook. You obviously look and read political stuff elsewhere so that's what you are targeted to see. When I looked up "best running shoes" most all I see are ads for running shoes. Your web surfing is being tracked by every site you visit so you get ads of "things you are looking for." I do not use an ad blocker and I have NEVER seen a political ad here. I see lots of golf cart ads and restaurant ads though.

If you are talking about POLITICAL POSTS BY USERS that is totally different. You might consider using an ad blocker but that also has some downsides.

You also might make your topic titles a little clearer. "I DON"T UNDERSTAND" can have many meanings.

it was supposed have many meanings.. biden and trump ads are all here, does not matter where you go.. like everything else in here it's all about the chosen few..

There s business trying to make money , if you want to run for office or have a business pay them . Ads don’t bother me I look at them or don’t either way why they bother people so much I can’t figure out

Your cryptic response aside, if they. are ADS, they are most likely due to the cookies left on your computer form articles or links YOU have visited...

I have never seen a political ad on TOTV. As mentioned previously, the ads YOU see are driven by your browsing history, and cookies. An educated guess...you probably see the same types of ads across all of your devices that hit the internet. So the question is, why is TOTV evil?

It amazes me how many people, in this day, do not understand they are being constantly tracked and that tracking affects everything they see on the internet and the spam calls and messages they get on their phones.

You see them because you are being tracked. You see them here because no doubt this site uses an ad source for revenue. If so they have little control over what ads you see, the service places the ads based on your browsing history.

And the site "bans" political posts, not political ads.

Obviously as your thread title clearly states "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND". If the 3 identical explanations so far haven't been understood I would suggest Googling "what is targeted advertising" should be the first place to start.
